Volunteer

"It's been good to meet more people with IBD and help plan CCFA events. I even bring a different point of view to my chapter's fundraising committee, since I am the only college student. We are planning an event at Brown to try to get other students involved in CCFA and spread the word about IBD."

Peter Cheifetz
Crohn's disease patient and recipient of
CCFA/Solvay Pharmaceuticals Student Fellowship

Thousands of volunteers have helped CCFA accomplish its research, education, and support goals throughout our communities. In fact, without volunteers, CCFA would not be able to accomplish its goals. If you have the time and interest, we encourage you to consider volunteering through one of our chapters, which can be found in our chapter directory.

At CCFA's chapters nationwide, there are a variety of opportunities to become involved, to connect with a like-minded community, and to make a difference. Depending upon your skills and interests, you can decide how you would like to volunteer your time:

  • Plan and participate in fundraising events, such as Take Steps and Team Challenge.
  • Help with chapter educational and administrative activities.
  • Become involved with CCFA Camp Oasis.
  • Help organize and publicize local support groups.
  • Participate in our legislative advocacy programs.
  • Help create and produce chapter publications, including our newsletters.

To find out more about what volunteer opportunities are available to you, please contact your local CCFA chapter using our chapter directory.
